Sarah has been doing theatre since she was a small child, and grew up running around Performing Arts Center at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Since the age of 3 she has been involved in over 100 productions, whether as an actor, designer, or even director.
Sarah has attended both TAMU-C and PJC, and has recieved 11 years of formal dance training from the Acadamy of Dance, Music, and Theatre. Along with that she has received professional vocal training, and can play several instruments.
She started her time at Paris Community Theatre as a chorus member in Chicago, before being cast as a lead in Children of Eden, and from there went on to participate in almost every show for the next 5 seasons. All in all, Sarah has been a part of 20 shows in her time here, before taking over as our Artistic Director in September of 2020.
Dee Jackson has been an active member of Paris Community Theatre for 4 years. You may have seen Dee taking tickets, ushering patrons, or giving announcements before the beginning of a show for several seasons now. But some of her most important work has been behind the scenes as a dresser, stage manager and crew member. She actually started her time here working backstage helping with the costumes for Pride and Prejudice.
Before coming to PCT she volunteered with Garland Civic Theatre for many years, where she realized the joy and fun that theatre can bring. And we were lucky to add Dee to our talented team when she came on as our office manager in February of 2020!
