Written by Dan Groggins and directed by Alaina Downing, NUNSENSE is a musical comedy about a group of nuns putting on a fundraiser to bury the remaining members of their order, who died from botulism poisoning. The story unfolds as they stage a variety show, dealing with comical situations, quirky characters, and unexpected twists, including Sister Mary Amnesia's memory loss and a potential country music career.
Amy thanks PCT for 43 years of theatrical fun. Her first PCT roles at 21 were Bianca in Kiss Me Kate and then Chavaleh in Fiddler on the Roof. Through the years, her more notable parts have been Mame in Mame, Sally in Cabaret, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, Domina in Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Jack’s Mom in Into the Woods, Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, Golda in Fiddler on the Roof, Ethel in Moon Over Buffalo and most recently Raphie’s teacher in A Christmas Story. She most recently had the honor to direct two versions of The Marvelous Wonderettes, and in the past directed three of The Greater Tuna series shows, and the musicals Annie and The Fantastics. Additionally, PCT has also allowed her the opportunity to choreograph dozens of PCT musicals. She has been an educator for the past 36 years teaching high school theater, speech, debate, and English. She would like to thank Alaina Logee Downing for her superb directing and allowing her to be a part of this talented group of performers. And also, many thanks to Janie Logee, who has worked long hours to help the performers master their music.
Sabrina is proud to be working with PCT again after performing in both Plaza Follies, the Sherlock saga, The Red Velvet Cake War, and most recently The All Night Strut. Hailing from Dallas, she moved to Honey Grove five years ago without looking back! Sabrina’s been in live music for twenty-five years before settling in this area. She’s performed across the country, but the last thirteen years in the Dallas scene as “Sabrina & Gypsybleu.” Other interests include art, writing her first children’s book, and restoring her 1895 Victorian home lovingly known as “Marcom Manor.”
Michelle studied musical theatre & opera at the University of North Texas, working professionally in the DFW area before moving back to Paris. She has been a part of the PCT family for over a decade, & privileged to have been involved in various productions that include, “The Marvelous Wonderettes”, “Chicago”, “The Wizard of OZ”, “Christmas Story”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, and “The Music Man”. She’s thankful to have another moment on stage with such a talented cast and director. Most of all, she’s thankful for her family who are always her biggest fans and supporters. “I'm truly blessed beyond measure!”
Janie has been a music educator in Paris for over 35 years and is now mostly retired. She has been involved in PCT productions in many capacities over the past 4 decades, but was most recently seen in The Red Velvet Cake War, along side her husband Dick.
Her greatest joy has been being directed by her daughter, Alaina Downing, and son, Nate Logee, which is not much of a departure from real life. Hailed as a musical genius, Janie has been humbled during this process, performing with such talented performers.
She would like to thank her daughter for writing her bio for her.
Ann is thrilled to be performing in her fourth PCT show. Recently, she was seen in Bonnie & Clyde (Emma Parker) with the Sherman Community Players. For the past 27 years, she has graced the stages at The Georgetown Palace Theatre. Austin Playhouse, Zilker Theater Productions, and Austin Musical Theatre. Favorites include: Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary), Pump Boys and Dinettes (Prudie), Smokey Joe’sCafe (Pattie), Chicago (Annie), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Beatrice), Man of La Mancha (Maria), My Fair Lady (Mrs, Hopkins), and A Christmas Carol (Narrator 2/Gentlemen 2), Thank you to the production team for this opportunity, and much love to my penguin, Tim. I love you!
