  • Creative Drama: Pre-K through 1st Grade

    Creative Drama: Pre-K through 1st Grade

    This class will be a high-energy introduction to the fundamentals of theatre. Basic theatre skills will be introduced through a mixture of fun games and improvisational exercises. As the class progresses, we will learn how to shine in the spotlight and have a fun look into technical theatre with some basic design experiments. Students will get a chance to showcase all they’ve learned at the end of each semester.

    The class meets Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 pm. Tuition for the semester is $120.

    Instructor: Mandy Hale

    Mandy is an active member of Paris Community Theatre, most recently appearing in Mamma Mia!. She’s full of energy and is looking forward to sharing her passion of the arts with others.

  • Introductory Theatre Skills:  Grades 2-4

    Introductory Theatre Skills: Grades 2-4

    Let your child’s creativity boom with this high energy introductory Theatre class. We will learn Theatre basics, terminology, stage movement, and improvisation skills, but mostly, we will have tons of fun! Students will have a chance to show off their newly developed skills in a showcase at the end of each semester!

    The classes meet Thursdays at 4pm. Tuition for the semester is $120.

    Instructor: Sarah Stogner-Dickinson

    This is Sarah’s fourth year with PCT where she has performed, designed and taught art and theatre classes. Bitten by the acting bug at a young age, she is also a classically trained singer, dancer, and artist. She is eager to impart her love of the arts to others through the work of PCT.

  • Video Production:  Grades 5-8

    Video Production: Grades 5-8

    Students will be introduced to various aspects of Video Production including acting, screenwriting, equipment usage,
    and editing. Students will work to produce their own video short to be premiered for family and friends at the end of the semester.

    Classes are on Mondays at 4:30 and 5:45pm. The tuition for the semester is $120.

    Instructor: Joshua Maxwell

    Joshua currently serves as PCT’s Artistic Director. His numerous theatre credits range from design to acting and directing with a few of his favorite productions being Narnia, Doubt, JB, Chicago, The Promise, Of Mice and Men, and Mame. He was most recently seen on the PCT stage as one of the two actors responsible for portraying over twenty characters in Red, White and Tuna. In addition to theatre Joshua’s experiences include accomplished vocalist, published author, and Youth Pastor. When not involved in theatre or one of his many other artistic ventures he enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine and daughter, Ella.

  • Art Classes: Ages 8-12

    Art Classes: Ages 8-12

    Everybody can create in this unique hands-on exploration into making personal pieces of art using everyday objects and media. Come join us and make an art journal, a mask, and find out how to make T-shirt prints and more. Ideal for beginners or experienced students with something for everyone regardless of ability.

    The class meets Mondays from 4:00-5:00 pm. Tuition for the semester is $140 (includes supplies).

    Instructor: Celia Stogner

    Celia has an extensive background in theatre as an artist, musician and actor, and holds a BA and an MS in Theatre Costume Design from Texas A&M University Commerce. She has served as a scenic artist, costume designer, set designer for over 30 productions. Her theatre experience brings a new approach to art that uses a hands-on method that goes beyond drawing to producing objects. She believes that everyone can make art if they are shown the path to creativity.

  • Intro to Musical Theatre: Grades 7-12

    Intro to Musical Theatre: Grades 7-12

    Students of all skill-levels will learn something new! Starting with a basic knowledge of ballet, tap, and musical theatre dance techniques, vocal methods, and a variety of acting techniques, students will learn how to approach musical theatre pieces like a pro! Each student will receive a customized audition book with songs and monologues to help them audition in any situation, as well as perform in an open-class revue at the end of the semester..

    The class meets Wednesdays from 5:00-6:30 pm. Tuition for the semester is $120.

    Instructor: Christine Van Pay

    Christine has been involved in theatre for over 20 years. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Texas State University and an MA in Theatre from Texas A&M in Commerce. In her four seasons with PCT, she has been seen in such roles as the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland, Kate Monster in Avenue Q, and Catherine in Waiting for the Parade. She also directed/choreographed/designed Damn Yankees, Love Letters, Pride and Prejudice, and The Foreigner.

  • Production of Disney's Frozen, Jr.

    Production of Disney's Frozen, Jr.

    Auditions for this class will be held in the Fall to any child enrolled in a PCT Education Program. This class will meet in the spring semester,
    preparing for performances for area schools and the general public.

    Classes time TBD. The tuition for the semester is $120.
